The Journey: an on-going documentary project about the essence of family

The Journey is my first feature documentary film. It tells the story of a baby boy, John, who witnesses the marriage of his parents in the traditional cycladean ways and customs, in Serifos island, in Greece. The film was well received by various film festivals around the world. It won the prestigious Award of Excellence in the 2013 Accolade International Film Festival in California, USA.

Today (2024) is an on-going personal project that is still in development. A study in human nature and the notion of family. Little John in now entering adolesense and I am in the makings of a new film, you could say a sequel. The story will evolve through a period of 15 years, show different aspects of John's life and family.
